About Inspector Disco

Naturally, an Inspector Disco set almost always centers around disco, fused with the many bright genres that surround it: modern disco reworks, familiar 70s classics, 80s dance, italo, hi-NRG, funk, deep house, and sunshine house. You'll be sure to hear powerful purple synths, strong diva vocals, and irresistible conga breaks. Although he first learned on vinyl, his prefers to play out on digital decks where he can deploy beat jumping, looping, hot cuing, and even syncing to tame imperfectly timed disco percussion over long blends. The mixes are quite technical but weave songs together without seams for hours of disco magic.

Ryan got his start in Brooklyn playing rooftop beats at Disco & Brews, a monthly series of his own invention that combined fun disco sets with the casual atmosphere of a local microbrew. The GBA roof gave him a space to refine his style, learn to work the dance floor, and get addicted to the peak time high. Breweries have since been a staple of the Inspector Disco brand.
